My husband and I love going out for Vietnamese food, but every once in awhile, we prefer to cook it ourselves. This is one of our favorites for home cooking.

These cookies are utterly insane. My mother originally came up with the recipe, and I tweaked it to suit my tastes. The result is something so addictive, it’s gone by some Not-quite-G-Rated nicknames over the years. When friends request them, it’s always “crack cookies”. You get the picture.

There’s this tiny Indian restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, called “Bombay Bistro”. They make a ridiculously good, highly addictive dish called “chicken cilantro”. After a whole lot of googling, research, and experimentation, this is about the closest I’ve come to making it at home. SO good, but still not *quite* exact.. if you’re even in MN, you’ve gotta try this restaurant out! If not..:
